About The Accommodations:

Bright and spacious apartment centrally located in Killaloe, County Clare. This waterfront apartment is set in a private marina next to the Killaloe Hotel and Spa with access to beautiful, landscaped gardens and walkways. This 1st floor apartment is within a 10-minute scenic river walk to the picturesque towns of Killaloe & Ballina where you can enjoy pubs, restaurants, and fabulous views of the River Shannon and Lough Derg.
This apartment includes a private outdoor deck alongside the marina.

The Space:

The living area includes a flat-screen TV with Sky TV, dedicated broadband, a leather couch, and an armchair. The updated kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, hob, oven, refrigerator, quartz countertop, and Nespresso machine. A brand new ensuite off the master bedroom was added in January 2023. The existing bathroom was also renovated and includes a walk-in shower with new tile. The three bedrooms are tastefully decorated, spacious, and bright. The private outdoor deck is a beautiful space with seating to enjoy a meal or just relax. A travel cot and highchair are provided for families traveling with small children.

1) The Old Course, Ballybunion

Arguably the finest golf course in Ireland, visiting golfers find it hard to compare the Ballybunion experience to any other. Located on the picturesque Southwest coast of Ireland, Ballybunion Golf Club is arguably the finest golf club in Ireland. With two beautifully maintained links golf courses on site, visiting golfers find it hard to compare the Ballybunion experience to any other.

The Old Course has been described as “nothing less than the finest seaside links ever seen”. With frequent visitors from the US, the guest book boasts some of the games most prominent golfers and the occasional US president, as in 1998 when Bill Clinton stepped up to the first tee. The Old Course has played host to Murphy’s Irish Open and also the Palmer Cup more recently in 2004.

The Old Course, consistently ranked as one of the world’s top ten golf courses, features a graveyard by the first tee, which some say is a warning to golfers who breeze through the first five holes only to come face to face with the ever-challenging 6th, the fiendish 8th, the daunting par four 11th and the devilishly tricky 15th. Trump International Golf Links & Hotel, Doonbeg is one of Ireland’s top golf resorts and only 5 Star Hotel with a championship Links Course. Opened in 2002, the Greg Norman designed 18th-hole layout is years ahead of its time. The course is set in stunning natural surroundings, from the wilderness of the Atlantic Ocean, that dominates the golfer’s line of vision, to the near-100 foot sand dunes that frame the links course.

The Wild Atlantic Ocean laps the 1.5 mile beach that stretches alongside the challenging and thought-provoking links course. Originally designed be Greg Norman and redesigned in 2014 by renowned Course Architect Dr. Martin Hawtree, it is not only recognized as one of Ireland’s top courses but also among the elite of European Courses. 3) Dromoland Castle Golf & Country Club

Regarded as one of the finest conditioned parkland courses in the country, Dromoland Castle Golf & Country Club is up there with the best.

The golf course stretches over 6,824 yards for men and 5,242 yards for ladies. Set in the undulating Clare countryside, the parkland course is a test to any golfer. The course features tight fairways, fast greens, perfectly manicured bunkers and an abundance of trees.

In 2003 the parkland course was redesigned by the renowned pair, Ron Kirby and J.B. Carr and now acts as one of Ireland’s most prominent golf courses.

The River Rine acts as a significant course feature flowing throughout the parkland. It has been described as an experience never to be forgotten, presenting the pure challenge of golf to both amateur and professionals alike.

Play against a castle backdrop, The 18 hole golf course was picturesquely built in 1961, with the impressive 16th Century baronial Dromoland Castle acting as a majestic backdrop. It’s setting on the rolling green pastures and glistening lakes makes it a pleasure to play.

The Walled Gardens, The Temple of Mercury and hand painted walls are just some of our favorite features. It’s a fantastic place to unwind after a day of golfing.


4) Lahinch Old Course

Lahinch Golf Club, located in Co. Clare on the West Coast of Ireland, is a hotspot for visiting golfers and is known as the St. Andrews of Ireland.

Lahinch Golf Club, which is located in Co. Clare on the West Coast of Ireland is a hotspot for visiting golfers. Over the years this picturesque course has welcomed tour professionals such as Luke Donald, Davis Love and Jim Furyk. Phil Mickelson also happens to be an Honorary lifetime member.

The Old Course is home to the South of Ireland Amateur Championship which attracts the best up-and-coming golfers Ireland has to offer. Winners of note would be Darren Clarke who won in 1990, Paul McGinley in ’91 and Graeme McDowell winning in 2000. Padraig Harrington has also finished runner-up on two occasions.
